Not sure what to say?

I met Janie very soon after Carl died as she joined the grief group that I'd been attending since my mother's death. Janie and I and our other friend in the group continued to meet on our own for years and we shared many intimate stages of our grief journeys. I hadn't seen her since the summer of 2019. I am so grateful I got to know the dynamic, fiery, super talented sides of her, aside from all the sadness and struggle we shared. Her passion for her students always blew me away and I am...

This was a life taken too soon. I have been a mom for 14 years and I have never had either of my children's teacher's call prior to the beginning of the school year to ask me about thier learning habits. She called me asked me then went over her curriculum answered any of my questions and then told me that I could call her anytime. I was blown away and impressed. It was obvious to me how much she cares about her students and I believe her students saw it too. I found my son liking and kinda...

I didn't know her personally but once I saw the picture I knew who she was. I'm a 10th grader and saw her around a lot in Mosier and sometimes the middle school. I may not have known her that well but we talked a few times, she was a lovely lady and will be missed dearly. I hope her family is doing well. God bless, she's looking down on us now smiling.

Janie was a light in our lives that gave us hope and taught us valuable lessons in dealing with our child. We always loved to see her at Special Olympics, as our daughter would always go and hug her. My heart is breaking hearing of her passing. We won’t forget you ever.
To her sons and family: We are so sorry for your loss. May your memories bring you strength and comfort as time goes on. ♥

May the good Lord above envelope all who are affected by Mrs. LaCombe's passing the power of Love, Peace and wonderful memories. God Bless You All!!

Over the many years I knew Janie, it was clear she fiercely loved her family. She was a remarkable teacher who gave 100% of herself. Janie was also a lot fun to be around. She made me laugh as we connected on such topics as boots, sandals, raising sons and everyday absurdities. Janie really was a very special person.

Janie went beyond expectations for her students. Her profound love of teaching and giving to her students is so clear. She brought materials to our home to be sure learning and success was happening for Milo. We all felt the genuine encouragement for math, learning and giving our best. Janie's efforts for his success will continue to blossom. We will continue in her honor to practice and give our best; she proudly celebrated honest efforts.

Our sympathies go out to everyone in...
