Janina Z. Rzepecki, nee Garudzinski, age 93, beloved wife of the late Chester Rzepecki; devoted mother of Mark (Marsha) Rzepecki and Grace Lund; dearest grandmother of Cindy Lund, Monica Lund, Elizabeth Rzepecki, Alex Rzepecki, Matthew Rzepecki; fond aunt; cherished cousin of many.
Born in Bedzin, Poland she was a teacher in Poland.
She came to Chicago to meet her late husband Chester Rzepecki and had two children. Janina worked in the banking industry for 17 years, was active in the Polish organizations, and devoted to her Catholic faith. She loved spending time with her family and friends.
Visitation Monday, May 5, 2025 from 4:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. at Skaja Terrace Funeral Home located at 7812 N. Milwaukee Avenue, Niles, Illinois 60714.
Funeral Service Tuesday, May 6, 2025 starting at Skaja Terrace Funeral Home at 9:00 a.m. to Queen of All Saints Basilica at 6280 N. Sauganash Avenue, Chicago, Illinois 60646 for a Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m.
Interment will be at Maryhill Catholic Cemetery at 8600 N. Milwaukee Avenue, Niles, Illinois 60714.

Read MoreI had several wonderful conversations with Janina over the past 20 years. Although we met when she was in her 70's, she always showed a wonderful, youthful spirit and sense of humor. She cared deeply for her family, and kept her close watch over her beautiful granddaughters. My heart goes out to the family. May she rest in peace.
