Janis Marie Trail Martin, age 74, of Smyrna, TN, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 2, 2016. A native of Woodbury, TN, she was preceded in death by her parents, James H. and Elsie M. Burks Trail; husband, Alfred Martin; son, Michael Alfred Martin; brothers, Jim and Cecil Trail; and sister-in-law, Gerry Trail.

Funeral Services will be Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Brother Tony Holt will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

Mrs. Martin is survived by her daughter, Tori Cliff and her husband Brad of Jackson, TN; sons, Rick Martin and his wife Kathie of Murfreesboro, TN and David Scott Martin of Smyrna, TN; grandchildren, Jessica O’Neill and her husband Jim, Blake Wolf, Brittney Brothers and her husband Matt, Brad Alexander Cliff II, Kalis Cliff, Amiriyah Cliff, and Zhanae’ Box; great grandchildren, Drake Churchill, Noah Churchill, Wyatt Martin Brothers, and Evelyn Jean O’Neill; sister, Debbie Cox and her husband Mike; brother, John Trail; and sister-in-law, Brenda Trail.

Mrs. Martin was a member of North Boulevard Church of Christ and Smyrna Church of Christ. She took deep passion in crocheting and painting but her greatest pride was loving on and taking care of her grandchildren. She was a loving mother, grandmother and sister and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Family will serve as pallbearers.

Memorials in memory of Mrs. Martin may be made to Special Kids at 2208 E. Main Street Murfreesboro, TN 37130.

Visitation will be Friday from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Woodfin Memorial Chapel.
