Not sure what to say?

It is so hard to come up with words to express deep feelings when such a tragedy happens. I couldn't think of anything to say during the shock at the end of July, but since then have felt it necessary to say how much Jan was loved by me and others in the trades who knew her on the job and off. We lost a sister that day, not of blood but of spirit. She leaves a hole in our loosely woven cloth of comradery we have all shared for the past 28 years. To Jan's family,

We were sorry to hear of your loss. We knew Jan from playing "Texas Holdin". We only knew her for a short time. She was a special person. Our thoughts and prayers are with her.

So sorry to hear of Janice's passing. I was shocked as was Mark when we heard the news. We certainly aren't a model when it comes to maintaining family ties, but know that you all are in our thoughts and our memories. As Mark said, Janice was such a nice person. Agreed. Sympathies to all.
