Not sure what to say?

Aunt Janis, I will miss you dearly. I remember growing up, spending time with you! Camping, the parties at your house and the holiday fun we all had together. I especially remember the special desserts you made by hand. May you rest in peace and May Jesus welcome you home. Your Niece Melissa.

Janis was a very special friend to me through the years as well as her family. We met at church 1982 and continued our friendship via emails, video and getting together for lunch. She stayed with my family as well and we shared memories of our years together. It is with sadness to write this post but I know that she loved the Lord and we will be reunited in heaven and I can hear her voice. PTL. Becky Arndt

I did love her sense of humor. She was a tough cookie. And the stories she could tell! :-)

As I reminisce about Aunt Janis, I can't help but smile at memories she left us. Some of my favorite memories with Aunt Janis include camping in her cozy camper, learning the alphabet in American Sign Language, and indulging in her delicious sugar cookies and carrot cake. She had a knack for spreading joy, especially with handmade gifts at Christmas. I still have the ornament she gave me ("I Love You" in ASL) - a reminder of her thoughtfulness that always has a spot on my family's Christmas...

I am very sorry that Janis is gone. But I saw her picture in which Janis dressed a beautiful blue dress with a great smile. I knew her so well and also, her sister Pam so well. Janis was a fun, fun friend of mine. I never able to reach her for chit, chats. Our Lord welcomed her safely.

Janis made and decorated the best cakes! Our family moved from Hawaii to San Diego for work in the mid-1980s and we attended church at Good Shepherd Parish in San Diego. Our little girl turned one-year-old and we had a Baby Luau for her. We needed to get a cake for her party and one of our friends at Church told us about the cakes that Janis made, so we contacted her to make us a nice cake for our luau. Janis made the most amazing and delicious cake that made our little girl's Baby Luau most...

My first memory of Aunt Janis was attending a baby shower at her house in the late 1970s. I remember that I came down with the flu because I drank from the same cup of fruit punch from another kid. We were visiting our Grandparents who lived down the street from her and her family in Mira Mesa, CA. I would say that my favorite memory of Aunt Janis, again, visiting from Arizona for the holidays was her Christmas treats (cakes and cookies). She was a very talented baker/decorator. She made...

There´ll never be anyone quite like Janis! My Sister was hearing impaired and I cannot fathom how hard it was for her in life. She loved her friends and enjoyed being a "social person". She loved camping, going out, going to church & being a part of the church community. Janis enjoyed making beautiful decorated cakes for everyone. May you rest in peace my Sister. May Jesus welcome you home to be with Him forever. 🤟🏻 and miss you terribly. Your loving...
