Not sure what to say?

Today, I had the honor of carrying a flag in memory of Army Specialist Jared Hartley during our annual Memorial Day Run of Remembrance, hosted by our local Wear Blue and Team RWB chapters. Please know that Jared is not forgotten — nor is the profound sacrifice he and his family made in service to our country. I carried his name with pride and gratitude.

Hello, We wanted to let your family and friends know that we are sending Care Packages to deployed troops this week and some of these will be dedicated to your loved one. Each package will carry the name, photo and hometown of Jared D. Hartley US Army Specialist. We realize that this is a small tribute, but we do this with all respect and sincerity and we want you to know that it is made possible by thousands of like-minded individuals from across the American youth hockey community,...

RIP brother! Gone but never forgotten!

Jared Hartley...you are forever young and forever a protector of this great republic. Never, NEVER, will you be forgotten!

As we reflect on Memorial Day I just a wanted to say:
Jared you were a good friend and I was glad to have gotten to know you and spend time with you. Thank you for your ultimate sacrifice! You will never be forgotten!

Jared, thanks for giving your life for me. You will not be forgotten, may you feast in paradise this day with the Lord.

To the family of SPC Jared Hartley,

Thank you for a wonderful son. I was his S3 Operations Officer, and I will never forget him, thank you

To the family and friends of Spc. Jared D. Hartley:
Please accept my remembrance of Jared on the anniversary of his passing and know that he will never be forgotten.

The flag is flying in the sky
A daily reminder of who and why
We sit here remembering them today
These heroes that now lie in their grave.

While here on earth, the bravest ones
A soldier, a mother, a daughter, a son
The father's who went far off to war
To ensure our safety and so much more

To keep our children happy and free,
Someone must do this job, you see
So, today remember the soldiers who served,
Because this is one...
