Jared P. Norton

I am so sad to hear this news. Jared and I had the same father, David Beadle, although I never met him nor had any contact with him.

Jared, as far as I know, was born in New York City. His mother's maiden name was Jane McCandless. His name at birth was George Press Beadle. He was named after our grandfather, George Wells Beadle, who won a Nobel Prize in 1958 in Medicine and Physiology and was later President of the University of Chicago.

Jared was a dear friend of mine, He and I worked on yachts together for the past year and a half leading up to his passing. We had amazing talks together on the boats for two summers..(and winter) I miss him all the time. I sometimes wonder if he left a letter or something behind for me to remember him by.
