To the family of Petty Officer Jarod Newlove:
Jarod gave the ultimate sacrifice and will be held in the hearts of Americans forever. I cannot and will not let our fallen heroes be forgotten. My deepest sympathy to you. "Some gave all."

It is with deep sadness that I send my condolences on the loss of Jarod, and I grieve with you. I am the WA State coordinator for The Home of the Brave Quilt Project; we make memorial quilts for the families of those brave souls lost in these conflicts. Jarod touched so many of us, even the ones that never had the opportunity to meet him. He will never be forgotten, he will live on. He is now like the wind, we can't see him, but we can fell him.
