Not sure what to say?

I served with your son...he was an amazing young man. Our unit/office were next to each other. I saw do much of me in him and we became friends. He was my lil bro... watched a movie last night and there was a 21 gun salute at a funeral...I haven´t stopped crying since. If you´re family and reading this, I don´t have to tell you how special he was. That kids smile and laugh could brighten cold dark Alaskan winters...It´s been dang near 17 years...I pray for you guys often. I have lost...

Thaank you. You are a hero.

This is your endless holiday.

I never knew your wonderful son, but just found out his story. He and your family are so heavy on my mind, and I already showed my 15 yr old his pic and told him his story. It is so sad to hear about the loss of such a beautiful, good, devout and noble young man, but I'm so Touched by what he did and the man he was. I can't imagine the pain of losing a son, and such a blessing, and just so thankful he is with the Lord. I pray I meet him up there. Sincerely, Melody Ambler

To the family of Jaron, it's hard to believe that Jaron's passing 6 years ago. My son served with Jaron, Greg Van Dyke. Jaron's sacrifice will never be forgotten by me or Greg or our nation. Jaron keep a watchful eye over your buddies because they miss you.

bro its been 6 years today, wow... I got promoted in June and I turned the ceremony into a tribute to you and Putnam. I still remember having breakfast with you that morning. love you man

I just read the article from 2011, and watched the video of Jaron's last letter. Thank you for sharing a bit of him with us. I'm going to share his story with my own son, who is turning 13. I guess I want him to have a glimpse of genuine nobility - how attractive it is to be humble, good, honorable - all those things that are so evident in Jaron. God bless.

My name is Billie Walker and I am with the Blue Star Mothers of America. My chapter is in Tahlequah and works closely with the Veteran imates of James Crabtree Correctional Center. These inmates have a program in which they crochet "Gold Star" afghans for our fallen warriors. It takes them a long time to get one croched and when they do, they put a name on it and send it to my chapter for delivery. I am trying to locate the family of PFC Jaron Holliday.
