Mr. Heard was my fifth grade teacher at E.S.Richardson in 1964-65. He was the first male teacher I had ever had and a great teacher! I remember so well that he told me, "Paula, you are the most 'happy-go-luck' student." To me, that was a compliment. Mr. Heard was my fifth grade teacher at E.S. Richardson Elementary School in Minden, LA. I had two traumatic years in third and fourth grade (teacher's names will remain anonymous!) Mr. Heard made me feel special and "took me under his wing".
