Not sure what to say?

I knew Buddy when I played drums with the Nightcaps (1995-2010). He was a good guy that did a lot for the band. He was largely responsible for us in the Nightcaps getting Senate Resolution #800, and getting May 29th, Nightcaps Day in the city of Dallas. He produced three fun shows for us at the Lakewood theater. I found out fairly recently that Buddy owned part of Sneakey Pete's which was located at Medallion Shopping Center. With all of his accomplishments, he seemed like a humble guy. I'm...

We're so glad to have had buddy as a cousin, especially for his writing of the history of the Horace Chilton family. We were so impressed by his ride to New York City. One year when he rode through we offered him a place to stay at my Dad's apartment at the Pierre Hotel on Fifth Avenue. Buddy called his mom, Oney, and asked her to send him some clothes to arrive at the hotel in, instead of his biker tights! (Our grandmothers were Chilton sisters.)

Many years ago as a sports reporter intern at the Fort Worth Star-Telegram I had the honor of interviewing Buddy. I was deeply touched by what he was able to accomplish. More than a year after I interviewed him, I was in a bad car accident at the age of 23. Many times during my recovery, I thought about his journey. I'm sad to hear about his death, but please know he made a big impact on the lives of so many. He was truly an inspiration.

Here's the story about Buddy written so many...

I was in the same grade as Buddy
at Armstrong, and I even think we played at Turtle Creek together a couple of times. My
dad, who also went to Highland Park is also buried at Wills Point.

Buddy conducted himself with grace and courtesy. Always passionate about his various projects. Always kind towards others.

That he would be successful in attracting Formula One to Dallas is a lifetime achievement in and of itself. Difficult to appreciate what an enormous ... and unlikely ... accomplishment that represents. To help put in perspective, Formula One raced at Indianapolis for approx 5 years in recent memory. Otherwise, there have been few or zero venues in the...

I worked with Buddy on several historical site designations. He was a great inspiration to many and will be missed. Thank you, Buddy, for everything you did to make life better for others.

Buddy was a survivor in the many adventures he chose to take on in his life. I will always remember him as a friend in the music business.

Very inspiring............
As a four time cancer survivor, Buddy is right about "Don't give up. Survival is possible."
Although we never met, I know he is my kind of guy!

I was saddened to hear about the passing of Buddy. For close to 50 years we were friends, he will be greatly missed. Buddy you and your family will be in our thoughts and prayers. My life was better having known you-
