Dear Betty and family,
It was one of my life's greatest pleasures to know Jarrette! He was a very special blessing to all who knew him. From the time we met at Cedar Hills Conference Center in Ohio to today I have felt him to be a friend and fellow pilgrim. God bless you all in this time of your loss. I know the good Lord has an honored place for his faithful servant, Jarrette C. Atkins.

Dear Betty,
It was a joy and privilege to get to know you and Jarrette during your years at St. Augustine's in Asbury Park. Jarrette remains a model of pastoral faithfulness and compassionate service for me and all my clergy colleagues.
Sandy and I send our love and prayers for you and yours at this difficult time. We pray you will find no small solace in the hope and promise of God's presence with you, Jarrette and all your family in the days and weeks to come.

Father Atkins was a dear, easy going and generous soul. I'll always remember his kindness that he showed our family for our Dad's funeral at the Church of the Epiphany, Orange on August 12, 1985 while our priest was on vacation in Australia. He was a dear friend of Aunt Bobby (Anderson) who introduced us to him by phone, since we could find no priest locally to officiate. May his Soul rest in peace and light perpetual shine upon him and our loved ones whom we hope to meet again.
