For Jason

It was the most beautiful day,
And yet the saddest of the year,
As I tried so hard to delay,
The falling of my tears,
This heart is woefully broken,
Knowing all too well your parents pain,
And no amount of comfort spoken,
Could change a single thing.
So I did what my heart told me to,
Reached for your mother to hold her stead,
As I laid the bouquet on top of your tomb,
She gasped "oh flowers!" as more tears she shed,
I knelt to the ground...

A great Marine with an infectious personality. You will be missed.

I served with Jason at TBS, IOC (3-07) & with 2/3. I am very saddened to hear of his loss. The world has lost a good man and Marine Officer. He was unique and there will never be another like him. I will greatly miss him. Thank you for being my Friend and brother Jason. We love you.

I'll miss you always brother

I was very saddened to learn of the passing of Brother Back. While I never had the honor of meeting Jason, I pledge that the SigEp Patriots Project will always remember him, his life, and his patriotic service.

Fraternally & Respectfully,

MAY THE GOD OF COMFORT BRING YOU PEACE DURING THIS TIME OF SORROW 1PET. 5:7

I went to school at Virginia Tech with Jason and was with him in the VTCC and NROTC. I've been hard pressed to meet anyone since that was so well liked by those around him. His positivity, sense of humor, and friendly character led to him being admired by almost everyone that met him. When things got difficult, Jason always knew just the right thing to say with a quick smile to keep the rest of us going and I'll always remember him for that. We'll miss you bro!

'fidelis ad mortem'
