Hillcrest Funeral Home Burial Park & Cremations - San Antonio Obituary

Jason Alfred Castillo born on February 15, 1978 went to be with the Lord on April 10, 2018 at the age of 40.   He is preceded in death by his uncles, Randy Gonzales, Michael Dale Gonzales, and Steve Castillo; grandfather, Alfred “Pepe” Gonzales; grandmother, Olga Gonzales.  He is survived by his loving wife, Liberty Castillo; son, Jalen Alfred Castillo; parents, Daniel Castillo, and Linda Gonzales Castillo; grandparents, Bertha and Daniel Castillo; sister, Raven Castillo; nephew, Gaven Alfred Castillo; he is also survived by his loving cousins, extended family and friends.

Jason was a devoted family man, and spent lots of time with them, especially with his son.  He also had a special bond with his sister, Raven. He enjoyed sports and was a fan of the San Antonio Spurs.   He took care of himself and enjoyed working out on a daily basis.   He was a quiet man, and liked just getting out to watch a good movie.   He believed in holiday traditions, and he would decorate his home on these special occasions.  Jason was a very proud American and a patriotic citizen of this great nation.

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 20, 2018 from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM with the recitation of the Rosary at 7:00 PM in the Hillcrest Chapel.  The family will honor his wish for cremation.

Oh Jason where do I begin. You came into my life as a young boy and I saw you grow up to be a great man. I love you and will miss you so much nephew. Thank you for being such a great cousin/brother to Matthew and Megan.

My J ...you were so special to me. You were my nephew...but more like my little brother and son rolled into one. You were the 1st baby I ever carried in my arms. I love you soo much. My heart aches at the thought I will never see your smile, hear your laughter or feel your hugs again on earth. Until we meet again J ...I'll miss you with all my heart.

My brother, my heart, my world...... I light this candle for you. I know you're in heaven and wrapping us with your big wings.
I love you SOOO much and forever will carry you with me.
