Not sure what to say?

Dear Doherty Family,
I have such beautiful recollections of teaching Jason at Georges Vanier School in Bramalea. The other day I came across the small framed teacher print that Jason had given me and I wondered how he was doing. Just today, I heard from Mark Broderick, that Jason had passed away a few years ago. I am so sorry to hear about his loss. He was such a sweet gentle spirit and left his mark on my heart. May the beautiful memories you shared with him, continue to bring you...

You were just cool...miss the days we hung out causing chaos, riding Diamond Backs and Redlines sporting the Cobra handle grips and the fiberglass rims...nothing since comes close JD, you are part of who I am....Thank You for this..you made the neighborhood fun and friendly---stay close for all of us---.......Ricky

JD...I never had the pleasure of meeting "U", though during the past few months I've gotten to know of "U".
The imprint that you've left on your families life is obvious, one in particular.

I would have liked to have met you,
if only just to shake your hand.
I know that "U" are deeply missed.
JD, watch over the "SPECIAL ONE"

Dear Mr.& Mrs. Doherty,
I am so very sorry for your loss. Jason was a dear old friend of mine. He was the first real friend I had when I first moved to town back in the 2nd grade, at Thorpe School. We remained friends through the years until I moved away the begining of high school. I was shocked and very sad to hear of his passing. I have thought of him so much over the years remembering his kindness to me as "the new kid" . He was so full of laughter and had the greatest smile! Although...

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Doherty and Cheri,

My heart goes out to you. I just found this site and was touched by all of the entries.

All of my childhood memories of growing up on our street include J.D.. He was always full of fun ideas in every season. I especially remember the snow ball fights, catching snakes, and the battles between my cat and his dog. He'll always be a part of my childhood and I will always remember him fondly. I wish everyone could grow up with a friend and...

There's one story that epitomizes Jason. At work, a vendor had walked in and looked distressed. He told JD that his daughter's car had broken down a few miles down the street. JD, without hesitation, offered to drive down there after his shift and see what he could do. Low and behold, he got the car running. He took the time out of his life to help this man who he barely knew and expected nothing in return. That was the JD I knew. I worked with JD for a good year, and it was one filled with...
