It's hard to believe it has been almost a year since Jay's passing. I think of him often, remembering how he was determined to bring art, fun art, to Tampa and the surrounding communities. My husband Bob and I sponsored many of his projects, but among my favorite is the mural he arranged to be painted on the side of Fox's Hardware, located at the corner of Gunn Hwy and Mobley Road. Somehow my condolence note did not appear with the painting under Peter and Jill Stilton. That painting was done while working with Jay for the first time on the Big Art Show at Tampa Airport. Every day I see it several times and think of how much fun we had working with him. His smile and joy were and are and always will be contagious!!
