KINCHELOE—Jason Allen Grogg, 31, of Rt. 2, Jane Lew, passed away Tuesday, February 24, 2004 from injuries sustained as a result of an automobile accident.

Jason was born September 22, 1972 in Clarksburg, the son of Steve F. and Debbie L. Grogg of Greenbrier Acres, West Milford Area.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Virginia E. “Ginnie” Haggerty Grogg, whom he married June 23, 2001 and their precious son, Nathan Allen Grogg; a sister, Jill; his brother in law Fay Pumphrey; nephew Seth and step-nephew Joseph Pumphrey, all of Clarksburg; and his maternal grandmother, Patty A. Fortney, Station C, Clarksburg.

Also surviving are several aunts and uncles, Sue Ann and Danny Swiger, Stonewood; Jim and Jodi Paugh, Reynoldsville; Beth and George Baker, Good Hope; Trudy and Roger White, Florida; T. Ann and David Allen, Bridgeport, Russell and Karen Grogg, Minnesota, and James Grogg, Beckley; his mother-in-law, Joyce Grough, Kincheloe; father-in-law, Steve Haggerty, Weston; brother and sister-in-law, Josh and Amber Haggerty and their son, Braden of Charleston; and his wife’s grandmother, Evelyn Grough, Kincheloe. Jason is also survived by several great aunts and uncles, numerous cousins, and a multitude of friends. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Anita Ovies Grogg, Anmoore; and maternal grandfather, “Skip” Fortney, Clarksburg.

Jason attended elementary schools in Heidelberg and Darmstadt Germany. He also attended West Milford Elementary School. He graduated from South Harrison High School in 1991. He received his CDL’s from PIA in 2003. He had been employed in recent years by T. A. Chapman and most recently by Universal Well Services of Buckhannon. Jason was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed all outdoor activities.

Jason touched the lives of everyone he met with his beautiful smile and unmatched personality. We are all better for knowing him, loving him, and receiving his love in return.

Family and friends may call at the Davis Funeral Home, One Olen Thomas Drive, Rt. 98, Clarksburg Thursday from 2-9pm, where funeral services will be held Friday, February 27th at 11:00am. The Reverend J. R. Dean will officiate. Interment will be in the Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
