Not sure what to say?

It's a shock to look someone up that you haven't spoke to in several years to find them gone. When I moved to Cleveland, Jason took me under his wing, and we had some absolutely unforgettable nights. He was always so generous with the people around him, and had a love for what he was doing, which isn't to be taken lightly. He will be missed by many admirers. I remember the signed Jeff Buckley picture he had in his office in Independence that read "It's true what they say about me, I am...

To the Gula Family:
I just learned of the passing of your son Jason. I am so sorry for your loss.

The Gula Family:

My heartfelt condolences and sympathy for your loss. As I sit here staring at this entry, I am utterly stunned by this unbelievable news. I once was and considered Jason one of my very best friends. What a guy. We grew up together, played basketball together, worked together at Camelot, you name it. We were just kids enjoying life. Like most people from that earlier time in our lives I just lost touch. Regretting today now more than ever that I did. I apologize...

Jason was an amazing person but an even better friend. during my early years at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum he brought amazing shows and events here because of me and made me look like a total rock star because of it. he also introduced me to my favorite band today and I will never forget him for that but even more so for his generous ways and great attitude. my deepest condolences to his family - he was loved and treasured by so many.

Jason helped hire me as the Sony Music college rep in 1997. He was my boss for a few years, peer for another 8 and always the best of friends. You always knew he was in this business for the right reason... the music. I spoke to Jason on June 5th and he was still following the dream: getting ready to move to Denver and jumpstart his label with friends. We will miss you Gula Shaker!!! Thanks for always being there to guide us. We love you...

My deepest condolences to the Gula family. I've known Jason for almost 10 years where we eventually worked together at SonyBMG. Even when we worked for competing companies he was always willing to help brainstorm ideas and find ways to make whatever we were doing better. I will always look up to the man who strove to be the best he could be.

I worked with Jason for many years at Sony, and I still can't believe this news. He was always my musical hero - I'd look to him for marketing ideas, advice, and just to find out what he was listening to! He even sent me music after I left Sony becuase he knew I would enjoy it. How cool was that? He had such a positive attitude, zest for life, and I would always look forward to being around him. You are missed Jason...by friends, coworkers, bands, venues and record stores, everywhere.

Jason was one of the finest men I have ever known or hope to ever know. He was a good friend who always could take me from a point of feeling down or confused & by the end of our conversation have me with my head up & full of confidence.
I am a better person for having known him and will dearly miss him.
They don't get much better than Jason.

I barely had meet Jason - through Lisa, my sister in law. I cannot believe he is gone - I was looking forward to him being in Colorado with all of us. What a spirit. What a warm, funny and loving man. I am devastated for his family - he will be missed by all.
