Jason T. Kern, 53, of Schnecksville, passed away unexpectedly Friday, November 29, 2024, at his home. Born in Allentown, September 18, 1971, Jason was the son of L. Thomas and Nancy L. (Lichtenwalner) Kern with whom he resided.  He played basketball and football for Parkland High School, graduating in the class of 1990.  Jason was employed as a carpenter / mechanic at the former NKI Builders in Schnecksville for 20 years. An avid fisherman, Jason enjoyed the comradery as a member of Ranger Rod & Gun Club.


Survivors: In addition to his parents; brother, Todd D. Kern of Schnecksville; nephews, Nicholas D. Kern (Haley), Jacob D. Kern.


Service: Family and friends may pay their respects from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. Friday, December 27, 2024, in the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc. 4906 Route 309 Schnecksville. A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will conclude services at Cedar Church Cemetery, Allentown. I am so very sorry to hear about Jason's death. I remember when he was born, and how excited the Bellview Road neighbors were to welcome him to the world. I have fond baby sitting memories of Jason as well. Prayers of comfort to Tom, Nancy, Todd and the rest of the family.
