Not sure what to say?

Another holiday season without seeing Jason. I missed him. I came across a picture of him the other day, taken on Christmas day, 1995. The picture reminded me how much I appreciate seeing the people I love, and never to take it for granted that they'll be there the next time we look for them...

I've been thinking of Jason alot lately. We sure do miss him and wish we had the chance to be there for him when he needed help. I hope his family is well. I hope to see an occasional message or funny story about Jason, it's a nice way to keep him with us.

I am, of course, very saddened by the unexpected death of Jason. I have a lot of memories of him when we were kids. In some ways, he was more like a kid brother or a younger cousin than a nephew to me since we were relatively close in age, and also since he lived with us for a little while when he was a baby and I was a little kid. Even though I haven't seen very much of him in recent years, there'll always be a soft spot in my heart for him. I'll miss him.

Today we are here all together with something missing, Jason. We miss his sense of humor and presence greatly. Our thoughts to his friends and family.

It's great to see the words about/for Jason on this page. For the family and friends of Jason this page will remain permanent. It's great fun to see the short stories, pass this page on to those that loved him and enjoyed his company.

Jason and I grew up together, although I was his Uncle I felt more of a brotherly kinship with him since we were only two years apart in age. I am extremely proud of my nephew for his service in Desert Storm and for who he was as a person. I miss him with all my heart.

For those who are interested, I thought I'd say a brief word about Jason's death. Jason was found in his apartment, having passed away. The Hennepin county medical examiner performed an autopsy, which showed 90% blockage of his left coronary artery. Presumably this caused either a heart attack or some sort of severe cardiac arrythmia which caused his death. It was sudden and completely unexpected. He seemed to be in great health. Feel free to contact us if you like. Leo and Virginia...

I too am a former Fridley classmate of Jason's. It is good to hear he kept his sense of humor. I remember lots of stories of mischievous deeds when we were physics TAs for Mr. Burkas - sneaking out to buy mice to feed to the snakes in the horticulture room, letting some of the mice go in the hallway, doing funny impersonations of Mr. Burkas, going out to lunch and sneaking back in through the gym...

I went to Fridley High School with Jason. I remember driving around in his light blue Galaxie 500, watching Monty Python at his house, playing guitar and goofing around in class. He cracked me up. I exchanged letters with him during the Gulf War, that is the last I've talked to him. If anyone could email me with more information about his untimely passing, I would greatly appreciate it.
