Jason Reid, age 28, of Sherwood, died Saturday, June 28, 2008.

He was born on July 14, 1979, in Nashville, the son of Joe Thomas Reid and Sherry Lynn Jackson Reid. On March 30, 2001, he was married to ToniMarie Quenga. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Paul and Mary Faye Reid.

Jason was a 1997 graduate of Umpire High School and was employed with Johnson Controls in Little Rock where he was a HVAC and refrigeration technician. He was a member of the Pipefitters Union Local #155. Jason was a dedicated NASCAR fan, loved riding motorcycles and was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed grilling for his family and enjoyed spending time with his friends.

He is survived by his wife, ToniMarie Reid of Sherwood; three children, Braelynn Reid, Jason Reid, Jr. and Joshua Reid all of Sherwood; his mother and stepfather, Sherry and Jesse Skinner of Dierks; his father and stepmother, Joe and Sheila Reid of Huntington; one brother, Joey Reid of Searcy; one sister, Rachel Reid of Huntington; his maternal grandfather, Dwain Jackson of Dierks; his maternal Grandmother, Patsy Harper of Nashville; his mother-in-law and step father-in-law, Shonda and Tom Moore of Cabot; two brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Anthony and Shelbie Quenga and Sean and Jacque Quenga; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, July 3, 2008, in the Athens Holiness Church with Bro. Don Vaughn and Bro. Billy Tom Young officiating.

Visitation will be held Wednesday evening, 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Glenwood.

Interment will be in the Hickory Grove Cemetery under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood.

Pallbearers will be Lance Runyon, Butch Graddy, Chris Seamon, Joey Reid, Anthony Quenga and Max Young, Jr.

Although it has been years since I have seen Jason, I can still recall his sweet smile and caring ways. I was his fourth grade teacher at Dierks Elementary School.
