Jason Lee Shackelford, 43, of Burkburnett, passed away Friday, January 14, 2022.
A Celebration of Jason’s life will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 22, 2022 in the chapel of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home in Burkburnett.
Jason was born on January 18, 1978 in Wichita Falls, Texas to Thomas Elbron Shackelford and Sharla Sue (Johnson) Shackelford. He graduated from Burkburnett High School, Class of 1996. During his high school years, Jason played football for the Burkburnett Bulldogs and was known as #78 “Shack Attack”. He later worked many years in sales in the oilfield industry. He was an avid Dallas Cowboy and University of Nebraska Cornhuskers fan, and loved to make others laugh. He would never take anything from you, but would give you the world. His passion in life was his family.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Bernard Novacek; and numerous aunts and uncles.
He is survived by his loving wife of 16 years, Erica Estrada; his children, Anisty Morales, Nacion Estrada, Alexis Estrada, and Paizley Shackelford; his parents, Thomas and Sharla Shackelford; his brother and sisters, Chris Shackelford and wife Sonja, Lori Welter and husband Ronnie, and Jennifer Tournay and husband Matt; his grandmother, Wanda Novacek; his nieces and nephews, Tayler, Brody, Bryce, Melissa, Marissa, Falin, Finley, Halle, and Hana; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, family and friends who will miss him dearly.
