Coker Funeral Home - Sanger Obituary

Jason Robert Sprouse passed away at his home in Aubrey at the age of 53.  The son of Arthur and Beverly (McKinley) Sprouse, Jason was born in Beeville, Texas, on May 31, 1968.

Jason moved to Denton, where he attended Business School.  He met his future wife, Ann Katherine Bonner, and they were married on August 10, 1991, in Denton, Texas.  Jason started a residential and commercial cleaning business which he operated until he was faced with physical disabilities.  Determined not to let these disabilities define him, Jason worked at FEMA as a Human Service Specialist for the next twenty-five years.  Through his work at FEMA, Jason developed relationships with people from all over the world.

He leaves behind his loving wife, Ann, and one sister, Shannon Ross of Beeville; two brothers-in-law, Bill Bonner of Fort Worth and Alex Bonner (Rosalie) of Denton; sister-in-law, Janet Bell of Denton.  His nieces and nephews, Adam Bell, Amy Bell, Luke Bonner, Jonathon Sprouse-Ross, Julianna Ross, and Matthew Ross, also survive her.  He is preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Jennifer Sprouse.

A visitation for Jason will be on Friday, May 20, 2022, from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm, at Coker Funeral Home in Sanger.  Funeral services will be at 11:00 am on Saturday, May 21, 2022, at the Church of Christ in Sanger.  John Payne will officiate the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation at www.parkinson.org.

Services are under the direction of Coker Funeral Home.  Please share a favorite memory or offer your condolences to the family at www.cokerfuneralhome.com.

Not sure what to say?

I had the pleasure of working with both Jason and Ann at FEMA. I hope knowing how fondly Jason is remembered is a comfort for Ann.
