Not sure what to say?

I still think about Jason. When he passed, I was young and single, on the same deployment at a different location. Now, being married and having a family of my own, I reflect on the unimaginable trauma his loved ones must have endured. It's hard to put into words.

Von I hope all is well and we meet again someday. We hold in our heart forever.

Dearest Son---It is approaching 10 years since we lost you but we never, ever forget you! Your entire family, Stephanie, Raina, Joseph, Noah and both of us think of you every day. You would be so proud of your children and wife as they continue to live the life you envisioned for them. Believe it or not but Raina continued our family's ties to CCNY as she worked there throughout the summer as a paid intern. Noah now is into Dungeons and Dragons, just like you. A young person just graduated...

When we meet again I am going to ask you how you feel about all these messages sent via cyberspace. You are missed my dear friend and the world is a colder place without you in it. I cannot believe I read below that your baby girl started college. Amazing! Sending love and light your way.

Dearest Jason,
As we approach the ninth anniversary of your passing, we wanted you to know just how much you are missed and some things that we know would make you proud. Your daughter Raina has started her first year at SUNY Albany where she won a presidential scholarship. Your sons Joseph and Noah are wonderful young men who would make you so proud. In your memory we have established a 4 year full scholarship to CCNY for a graduate of your high school, the Bronx High School of Science....

To The Family of Jason von Zerneck,

I am thinking of Jason on this Memorial Day weekend and thank him for his service. I cannot imagine the pain that his wife, children, and parents must go through everyday along with his friends. May God Strengthen them everyday and find comfort knowing that Jason is a true American Hero. I knew Jason many years ago playing hockey for the Yonkers Kings. I thank Jason along with the other men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice. I...

Jason,
You should know that we have established a fund in your name and memory to support veterans enrolled at City College. Your name, memory and image live on at the college you once called, "the college for the people".
We all think of you every day and are determined to play a role for others that would make you proud.

Mom and Dad

To the Family of Jason von Zerneck, I am thinking of Jason tonight on this Memorial Day. I knew Jason many years ago when we played hockey for the Yonkers Kings. May God Bless his wife and three children along with his parents. May the memories of Jason live on in your hearts forever. He is truly an American Hero. I have one son that was born on October 2nd. I will think of Jason on this day.

Hey Jason just thinking about you, miss you man.
