Not sure what to say?

I think of Mr. Bowman often and decided to look him up today, only to find this. Breaks my heart he was still so young, but in his time I know he gave so much of himself and accomplished so much. I was a student of his in the early 80's and always looked forward to his class. He was calm, kind, genuine and treated us kids with such respect. In my lifetime of teachers and leaders...he is way up there at the top! Just a wonderful man. I know it's coming years later....but my condolences to his...

Jasper was a dear friend serving together as U. S. Army musicians in Augusta, Georgia and Heidelberg, Germany. I regret not keeping in touch with him through the years, but he will always be in my fondest memories during the dark years of the Viet Nam war.

I miss my uncle so much.

Jasper was my great uncle. I haven't seen him since my grandmother past away almost fifteen years ago. From both my fathers family and my mothers family I have heard nothing but admiration and praises about Jasper. As I read these post I am glad to see that he impacted so many people lives. My condolences go out to all my extended family.

Jasper was a true gentleman and an inspiration to all of us who were privileged to make music with him.

Jasper Bowman conducted many community band performances in Holyoke and Florence, MA. We'll miss him! He appreciated the photos I took at these events and often asked for copies to add to his album. Most recent was Sept 10, 2006.

Jasper Bowman was a wonderful teacher. My children were fortunate to have had the experience of learning from Mr. Bowman. They thought the world of him, and we are all very saddened by his passing. His love for music is something that we will always remember.

JASPER WAS ONE OF MY VERY CLOSE FRIENDS. I FLEW WITH HIM ON OCCASION IN MY C-172; 22R. ALTHOUGH I NEVER WENT WITH HIM IN HIS AEROCOUPE, WE HAD PLANNED TO SOMEDAY. (SORRY JASPER!)
OFTEN I WOULD STOP BY HIS HANGAR TO ENJOY WONDERFUL CONVERSATION ON MANY SUBJECTS. HE WILL BE SADLY MISSED AND ALWAYS REMEMBERED.

Several years ago, a man who stood in the audience at the gazebo in Easthampton, came up me, and introduced himself to me, and said how much he enjoyed our (HERITAGE POPS ORCHESTRA) performance of that night, and asked if he could come to our rehearsal. In a matter of two weeks, we all realized that this was a wonderful man,and an extremely
fine musician. He soon became a part of our band, arranging, playing piano, and ultimately, when my health went bad, assuming the role of conductor of the...
