Not sure what to say?

I'm sad to hear of the passing of Vic. He was a fine southern gentleman and a convivial bon vivant. I had the pleasure of sitting with him at my mother, Genevieve Medlin Berge Woodall's 90th birthday party at the country club and found him to be charming company. My condolences to all of his family and friends.

I miss my friend Vic and little buddy, Coco. The neighborhood will never be the same.

i will miss my neighbor walking back and forth to Ike's with his beloved Coco following behind.

We (Core Sound Waterfowl Museum & Heritage Center) just learned of Vic's passing yesterday and we are so, so, sorry. He was a treasured volunteer and a smiling face at many of our events. He and Ike Southerland were the perfect pair .. both true Southern gentlemen, giving and caring! Ike and all of us will miss him terribly ...

I stopped to visit Vic 2 weeks ago when I saw him on his porch. We shared iced tea and he seemed quite happy. Sorry he is gone I enjoyed his company the few times we were together.

I have many fond memories of growing up with Vic. I was from Goldsboro and met Vic the summer after 8th grade. He was my first love! After not seeing each other for fifty years, we reconnected a couple of years ago at Emerald Isle and had a fun time catching up. My condolences to his family and friends. He was one of a kind and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Vic and I became family when Vic III married my daughter Blair in 2012. He was always gracious and kind. We have shared holidays and Morehead City times with our children, including Jordan, Jeff, and Boo. Then we shared our one and only grandchild, Olivia. Olivia knew her Granddaddy O, and loved going to his house because he had lots of dolls. We will keep his memory alive for her. Vic and Boo, you are my children too. I will always be here for you. I am so sorry for your loss. There is pain...

Thinking about the family during this difficult time. May the Lord's presence be a comfort to you.

Being from Johnston County, it was always a pleasure to see Vic in Morehead City and chat with him about the goings on in Smithfield. So sad to hear about his passing and will hold his family in our thoughts and prayers.
