In loving memory of a wonderful person who's smile would light up the night. You will live forever in our hearts. My thoughts and prayers are with the Russell family through this hard time. God bless and keep you.

You and your family will be in our prayers at this time of your loss. Look to God for strength to help you get through this difficult time.

I deployed with SGT Russell to Afghanistan in 2004. He was a technically competent soldier in both soldier tasks and his occupational speciality. He took great pride in his work as an Engineer while in Afghanistan. His sense of humor was a great asset to the unit during those demanding and laborious days. He was well known and liked by all members of the unit. His nickname of "Jappo" was used by all.
Upon hearing of Jasper's death I was truely saddened. My thoughts and prayers are sent.

I Served with SGT Russell in AFG. Jasper was a hard worker and always had a cheerful attitude that help us all get thru. My thoughts and prayers will be with the Family during you time of sorrow and loss.

Jasper was a very special person and he will truly be missed. I hope the family can find some comfort in all the memories you have. He will always hold a special place in my heart. I will never forget him. I am one of his nurses at the VA.
