JAVHON JERRY BRELAND, age 79 years, of Slidell, LA passed away on Thursday, February 20, 2014.

Beloved husband of Betty Johnson Breland for the past 59 years.

Father of Sharon Breland Chavanel(Buddy), Darryl Breland(Tia), Sandy Breland McNamara(Dave) and Wayne Breland(Pam).

Brother of Janilla Colletti and Dawn Lupo.

Also survived by 10 grandchildren, Donny, Donya, Heather, Jennifer, Jessica, Ryan, Kylie, Erica, Joshua, Addie and 10 great grandchildren.

A native and longtime resident of Slidell, he served in the Korean War in the U.S. Airforce. He worked in Egypt and the North Sea for over 20 years in the Petroleum Industry. He was an avid fisherman and spent many years fishing the waters he loved off of Cocodrie.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral
Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 400 Westchester Blvd., Slidell, LA, on Saturday, February 22, 2014 at 11:00 A.M.

Interment in St. Joseph Abbey Cemetery, Covington, La..

Visitation at the church on Saturday after 9:30 A.M. until funeral time.

Masses preferred.
