Javier Escobar Y. Córdova

This is truly a day for celebration of a life well lived. But I can't help but feel sadness knowing that there will not be another opportunity to have an interesting conversation with Javier or a visit by Javier to my office or a visit to his house to enjoy a drink and a bit of banter.
He was a wonderful friend.
I will miss him dearly.
Please accept my condolences.

We are so saddened by Javier's death. He was a wonderful man who was such a joy to know. Our regret is that we were unable to come to Dallas for the services. Know you are in our thoughts and prayers. We loved Javier and will greatly miss him.

A MIGHTY CEDAR HAS FALLEN! He really was the most interesting man in the world. As high school students at Jesuit, we were awed by his savoir faire and debonair demeanor. He never lost his elan and zest for living, and he lived a long and productive life of virtue and manliness.
