Obituary

Javier Jorge-Reyes, 40, of Orlando, Florida, a native of Guayama, Puerto Rico, was killed in the shooting at the Pulse nightclub in Orlando. He was a supervisor at Gucci.

A friend wrote, "You made me feel like a beautiful woman and mother even on days I couldn’t see it, and you had an uncanny knack for making my baby kick on demand when I was pregnant! You are so very loved and never forgotten. I hope you get to spend all your days dancing and laughing until we see you again!"

Not sure what to say?

I wore your name on a tshirt the year you were killed at the OKC Pride parade. I still wear it and remember you and the things I have read about you online. Your friends loved you. Just so they know, even a stranger has not forgotten the light that was taken out of the world too soon and so abruptly. I know you are still deeply missed

Rest In Peace my dear friend.

Dear Family of Javier:

I met Javier at a Halloween party in October 2015 and meeting him changed my life. He was so friendly and warm to me and he was so incredibly beautiful inside and outside. I am blessed to have met him. I offering my love and prayers for all of you. My deepest condolences!

Él era un hijo de Dios y sé que Javier está sentado al lado de nuestro Señor ahora. Javier era un gran hombre y el mundo está mucho peor ahora sin él en él. Ruego por tu sanación....

To the family and friends of Javier, we are so sorry for your loss. Such a caring young man...we will keep all of you in our daily prayers and may he guide us from above.

I obviously didn't know You Javier. I live in Cathedral City, California, just adjacent to the city of Palm Springs. I went to a local gay bar, the Barracks, this past Sunday to shoot pool with some friends. They were paying tribute to the victims of Pulse, in Orlando. They were passing out a single rose and a rolled up piece of paper, tied with a ribbon. Each piece of paper had a single victim's name. The name on mine is Javier Jorge-Reyes. I am keeping the paper and have the rose in water....

In loving memory of your life on this earth. May you rest in peace. I pray for your family and friends that they will be able to find comfort in this time of tragedy. With love....

Who would have thought June 9th would be my last encounter with you? My plans to meet with you on June 17, 2016 did not happen. However, the two trips to your store in May surpassed any encounter I've had with anyone. I will never forget your smile and kind gestures that week. Your warmth compelled me to return on Mother's Day and your kindness caused me to schedule my June visit. I'm so happy to have met you. Thanks for the experience..I Love You..Keep Smiling with the Angels.
