Read MoreI first met Jay (Mr. Barrick) in 1959 at Epiphany Lutheran Church in the Pleasant Hill development where we had just moved. These many years later I remember him as a very fun-loving person at our church who always had time for the kids of the church and neighborhood. He was just a "cool dude" and one of the nicest people I've met. Sorry to see him not with us any more.

Jay Barrick was a true gentleman in every sense of the word.He was a devoted husband, a loving father, and a very proud "Papa". He shared his talents with his church , with his community, and through his involement with the Lions Eye Research Foundation with those he would never meet.His life is to be celebrated for God truly made him special. We have lost a good friend, but we are all better for having known him. To Jean and family, we extend our deepest sympathy.
