Not sure what to say?

I want to send our sincere sympathy to Jay's family upon hearing the sad news of his untimely death. I was honored to know Jay as a young teacher when he came to Big Rapids to join our high school faculty. Jay was a great teacher and role model to many students. He will be missed, but all should know that his teaching skills will extend far beyond his time with us. Our sincere thoughts and prayers...

Bufton Family,

I consider myself blessed having met you and am truly saddened by the manner in which our paths crossed. I have thought of you all often and am celebrating Jay's Homegoing despite my sincere, deep sadness. Know that your entire family has been inspirational and prayed for. Thank you for my hugs and modeling Christ. Xoxooxox

JAY YOUR THE BEST UNLCE.

JAY THANK YOU FOR BEING MY UNCLE HERE ON EARTH AND IN HEAVEN NOW.

Mr.Bufton was my gym teacher in high school he was one to always make people smile and laugh at any chance he could he will be loved and missed by all that knew him #BuftonStrong

To know a child's heart, just take a close look at his parents. With all of life's "messiness" Jay lived for the love of his family, wife Denise and kids but more importantly, his love for his Savior. Our prayers are with you.

What a great visitation. There was so much love in that room! The pictures were sweet and hilarious. Such precious memories... Denise you honestly don't age and Jay somehow looked younger in that hospital bed. As the days pass and you experience the ups and downs remember some of those great pictures, his goofiness and the best healing in God's word. I'm certain Jay is smiling after seeing the party line and thankful his feet don't hurt. We love you!

In college, I remeber Jay always had a huge smile on his face and made people laugh.
Your family is in my prayers.

So sad to hear this news -- but joyful because it was a life well-lived and now Jay has gone home. Prayers and warm thoughts from Linda, Ian and Caitlin Filep.

Jay will always have a special place in my heart. Love you Bufton family
