Not sure what to say?

We shared a love for the same piece of the Land of Enchantment, which Jay was selling to me and then reclaimed when I had to leave to take care of my mother. We maintained a long-distance friendship via email and snail mail packages, and I just discovered he had finally released the physical form when my emails wouldn't go through. Vaya Con Dios, Jay.

My friend Jay. Thank You for the many coffee sessions at Starbucks. Filled with God talk and Political discussions. You were a good friend and will be missed greatly. Your creativity was inspiring. Even though you didn't feel well a lot of the time you always were encouraging and brave. See you on the other side.

It is good to have known you forever.

My condolences to the family. Seems Jay had a good life. I am from Portales and about the same age. I may have known Jay.

Ah Jay,

What a blessing you have been to me! I am thankful to have gotten to know you in the past few years at Pepperdine! I have many fond memories of times we spent there in various classes session, sitting down to a few good meals, and enjoying a cup of coffee and a big slice of pie!

As special as all of that is, I am thankful to God that it doesn't even compare with the beauty and the wonder that you are about to behold! Scout it out for us, we will be along in...

Jay will be missed. He was a member of our "gang" for many years at the Pepperdine Lectureships. Jay and I had many discussions during those years and I always admired his desire to learn more about our Lord. God bless the family. I look forward to seeing Jay again on that heavenly shore.

Jay,

As you walked this earth during your all too brief life & touched all of our lives, we are all better for knowing you and the example of what a beautiful human being does to make all of us better each day.

My prayers go out to your family, children & step children. RIP Jay
