To the Contway family, my heart goes out to you all. I know Jay is with all the family that has gone on before. I loved all his craftsmanship. I just wish I could have met my distant cousin. Him and my mom had many conversations when she was still alive.
The world lost a great artist and man. God Bless you all

A gentleman and a scholar...what a great man Jay was!! The story goes Jay gave my dad Jim Bishop his 1st block of wax to try out and the rest is history!! A world traveler, a teacher of children, and AMAZING SCULPTOR!! What a honorable life you lived Mr Contway. From my dad and my family, RIP and thank you for touching so many lives and making such amazing works of art!! Prayers for the family at this time and take comfort that Jay is now an angle to watch over everyone!!

My condolences to Lynn, Jay's children & step-children! Jay is a Montana Legend! He was a storyteller & his art is a testament to that. I always looked forward to seeing him when he & Lynn came to the foundry. (Kalispell Art Casting). He put so much heart into his work & each piece was one of Jay's stories. He will be sadly missed!
