Not sure what to say?

Not only was Jay my coach at Ector High He was a close friend.

Coach Davis will always be remembered by many people not only as "Coach" but as friend. He always brought out the best is whoever he was coaching, teaching or just hanging around. In later years we always enjoyed seeing him at the "Ector Reunions". It seems like he awlays remembered everyone.

Our prayers are with Jay's family. What a wonderful life. It must be comforting to know that he is no longer suffering. May God bless you and your memories of Jay.

Jay was my coach at Ector. He was a great coach and I would have charged hell for him. My sympathies, Dale Norris

Jay was my football coach at Ector High School and had a great influence on me. He was a great coach. My sympathies, Dale Norris

I have lost one of my heros. I will always remember the man who took the time to pay attention to a grade schooler and even gave him a nick name "Grasshopper" because he said my three point stance looked like a grasshopper. He even came to hear me talk at ther chamber of comermers banquet in McCamey. Of all the people that were there I was the happest to see Jay V. I will miss him. Aaron Cranford class of 1956 MHS

Hello Roylene - Thinking of you at this particular time. I met J.V. in Uvalde when he played football with my older brother Jack Seals from Big Lake.
Although I was only a freshman in hi school I never forgat what a special person he was.
