Not sure what to say?

I was saddened to hear the news of Jay, he was a great man. My first thought is he's in heaven now, catching frogs and going bass fishing with Vi.

While it is hard for me to believe that Jay won't be there for annual summer trips to MN, he will certainly never be forgotten. Aside from being a fixture at the farmhouse (especially at the card table) and on the golf course, I'll always remember Jay for playing a crucial role in helping me catch the biggest fish of my life on Lake Victoria (he ran 100 yds to get a net & then helped 7 yr old me pull the fish out of the water). It's a fond memory I've had for nearly 30 years and one I'll...

Saddened to hear of Jay's death. I will always remeber the sweet hospitality of my trip to Great Falls.
So thankful for the good memories.

Christmas will never be the same. I will miss your smile, but not your golf lessons...I never liked when people told me what to do! Grandpa, I miss you tons but I know you are there watching. I love you.

We will always remember the wonderful times we had with Jay in Oakes, at the farm, on the golf course and around the card table. He was the best brother-in-law, and we will miss him very much. You are all in our prayers.

Remembering with love a remarkable husband, Father and brother-in-law. His two daughters fought the good fight with their father. They made his journey easier as Jay became the light and peace of which he was so deserving. Love and Prayers, Bob and Bobbie Melby

It was my honor to share many cups of coffee with Jay at my resturant in Holiday Village, lot's of good stories and a lot of local history. Godspeed Jay!

One father is more than one hundred teachers. Dad taught me loyalty, humility, honesty and honor. Thank you Dad for being there...I will cherish your memory always.
