To Tommy's Family:

I was privileged to get to know Tommy at Liberty Church in Broken Arrow some years ago. We had a bit in common, in that we both attended Will Rogers High School in Tulsa, but at different times.
I enjoyed the friendship that I had with him in the short time that I knew him. Tommy was a sincere man, with high principles, in short Tommy Evans was one of the good guys.

To the family of Coach Evans;
I was sorry to hear of Coach Evans passing. He was a special person who made a difference in alot of lives. As a former wrestler of Coach Evans, he gave me the opportunity to wrestle at OU with the best. He made me a better person and coach by being under him. Now he's with his coach, Port. We all loved Coach, and he will be missed.

As a former wrestler for Coach Evans and also as a coach for OU, "Tommy" was held in high regard by me. I can honestly say that if was not for the training regimen that he came up with in 1964 our young team would have been destined to fall way short of expectations.
