Not sure what to say?

I am so sorry for your loss. I'm sure Jay is smiling his big smile down from heaven:)

By a twist of fate Jay and I were placed in the same 2nd grade class at St. Andrews. And so began a journey through many of life's milestones that we shared together. Whether it was our first communion, confirmation, graduation from St. Andrew's and Prep one constant was that Jay and I were side by side. Although we chose different paths after high school, Jay and I continued a special friendship that is hard to put into words. He was a regular part of my family's gatherings for many years,...

Michelle and Chris,

I am so sorry for your loss. Please know that you are in my prayers. Jay was a joy to teach.

So sorry for your lost. Draw close to god and he will draw close to you. James 4:8

Losing a loved one in death is never an easy thing to endure. May you find comfort in knowing that your tears do not go unnoticed by our Creator, because he cares for you. - 1 Pet. 5:7

Chris., I am so sorry to hear about your brother. I only heard today, I would have attended the wake. Please know that you and ur mom are in my thoughts & prays. sending you love

God bless you, old friend.

My deepest sympathies to Michelle Chris and extended Hughes family. I met Jay while attending St. Peters Prep 30 years ago. We were part of a close knit group of guys who experienced a lot together. Even as the years passed on and we spread out in different directions I always considered Jay a close friend who was part of an inner circle. I'll miss him deeply. Wherever you are Jay I hope the beer is cold and the Mets win every night.

My condolences to the Hughes family! I only know of Jay from the 8th St. Diner and the last time we were there he was our waiter and very polite. I also know his friend Nancy Attia who also worked there and she was also as sweet as him. R.I.P. Jay and I know you are now one of God's angels!!!!
