You are a great soul and a gentleman. coming into the Lord well all see each again one day.

My condolences to Mary Anne and family. When I worked hockey, Jay would always stop to chat and share his upcoming vacation plans. Just before he retired, Jay trained me to succeed him in my first special event assignment. Jay was a kind soul and will be missed by many.

When I joined the police department at Michigan State Jay was an experienced officer. He patiently taught me, and other new officers, how to live up to the expectations of the organization and did it with the quiet good humor that was his specialty. I developed great respect for Jay's ability to stay cool and calm in a high pressure environment and I well remember his excellent example. He was one of the people I missed after I left the organization.
