Not sure what to say?

I worked with Jay at Prudhoe Bay the summer of 76. I remember his dad told him if you don’t make a mistake you aren’t doing anything. I have followed that star for years. He had air in his blood as a pilot. A young naive guy like many of us.

Jay is one of the finest people i have ever met. It took a long time to put this here as he was someone that is truly missed in life. He and I spent many hours pondering all things aviation and life in general. Gods speed my friend, see you on the other side.

I just found out last night, sorry to say. Jay was a good friend, a great photographer, and the best aerial camera-platform pilot I ever worked with. A remarkably smart and funny character, Jay was a true “individual” amongst many such characters I’ve known - I’ll miss him greatly.

What an original man, who flew among the clouds, graced me with his photography, and will not be forgotten! RIP Jay

I knew & flew with Jay Laub. A beyond-remarkable ally in diverse adventures but I’ll miss him most for his friendship.

I saw Jays moms obit in today’s paper, knew of his passing but had not seen an obit. Am so very sorry to all Jays siblings for not only the loss of your brother but your mother as well. I was friends with Jay for 52 years. I will hold Jay in my heart forever.

I spent many hours flying with Jay at Alaska Helicopters both rotor wing and fixed wing aircraft. Several of us called him by his nick name Jay Bird. A private pilot myself, Jay Bird showed me several short field takeoff and landing techniques in our Cessna 206 and 185. I have appreciation for Jay’s aviation flying ability. I will greatly miss him.
