My co-worker and long time friend I met Jay my first day at Wash Natural Gas in Aug 1979. he came up to me and said "i'm the shop steward. If anyone gives you trouble, let me know. At that point, I knew we would be friends. Who didnt like Jay? I didnt ever meet anyone who didnt. He was always joking He could also take what he gave out We got to work together in dispatch for awhile with our friend Walt Pishue. So Sorry for your loss, but I'm sure you all are full of great memories of Jay. I was one of the guys Jay loved to tease, especially during union negotiations at WNG, as I was on the management side! Jay always looked out for others and had a heart of gold! An 'Ol Gas Gezzer' who will be missed!

Ahh the days at 5139 Palmer dr Seattle Wa 98117, Andy and I met Jay through Walt Pishue. He was our downstairs neighbor at Lud and Shirleys Duplex. Being our neighbor at a time we were expecting our second child. Jay soon became our dinner and evening companion. He was always invited to dinner and a good stomp on the floor would bring him up for what ever I had on the menu. What a fun life we had at the Duplex.
