LINZEY, Jay David - Of Davison, formerly of Flint, age 67, died Saturday, December 3, 2011 at Genesys Regional Medical Center. Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, December 6, 2011 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Bishop Jerry Pruett officiating. Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the wishes of the family. Visitation 1-8 p.m. Monday and 12 p.m. Tuesday until the time of the service at the funeral home. Mr. Linzey was born in Flint, Michigan on May 16, 1944, the son of the late, J.D. and Margaret (Coulman) Linzey-Willis. He was a member of Eagles #629 and the Moose Lodge. He could instantly make a friend and he had never met anyone he didn't like. Mr. Linzey was employed at IMA Vending, retiring in 2005, USA Demolition Derby and Figure 8 Racing for 34 years. Surviving are wife, Linda; son, Jay; step-daughter, Erica Valley; granddaughter, Julie Emma and first wife and friend, H. Fay Linzey; brother, Dale (Connie) Willis; uncle, Gordon (Ilda) Coulman; aunt, Rosie Coulman and many cousins. He was preceded in death by step-father, David Willis. Sorry, to here about Jay he will be sadly miss at all the Demo Derby's I have known Jay for many years and it was very nice known him! Jay was s very good person and my prayers go out to all his loved ones! So Sorry for your loss ! The Gilbert & Cramer Family

I always enjoyed being around and talking to Jay. We had many good years of friendship from working together at the IMA, fish and fun week-ends, and nice visits at Remingtons. Jay was one in a million, I will miss his company and conversation. He was always there to help anyone in a time of need. The world needs more people like Jay. My condolences to his family. He will be missed.

Jay was a great friend and neighbor, I remember when Kathy and I first moved on Chicago Blvd. Jay was the first neighbor we met and have been friends ever since, that was in 1970. We will miss him.
