Joe and Karen Kessel with Jay at his 70th birthday party in Sleepy Hollow.

Jay was good friends with my late husband Joe since when they were both 7 years old in Mill Valley, 2 months apart in age. They shared many memories of Park School and Tam High, where my uncle George coached. They reconnected in the last several years and I got to know him and Gloria. Condolences to Charlie and Paul, and please let me know when the memorial service is to be held. I'd like to pay my respects.

A warm and wonderful man. The knowledge of his field was deep, with the highest integrity. I treasure memories of lunch and dinners with Jay and Gloria. Jay´s life experiences in Marin ran through the decades. A life well lived. My love to his beautiful family. His memory will always be in my heart.

Condolences to my cousins Kathleen, Moira and Carl. In addition to his many professional accomplishments, your father was a warm and congenial man, an excellent storyteller, and a truly fine uncle. May our good God grant his soul eternal rest, and send his Holy Spirit to console you and your children.
