Dear Claire, Was so sorry to hear of Jay´s passing. It was a banker who told me, which speaks volumes about Jay´s gift establishing relationships with people. He was a wonderful colleague and friend at the Fed - a warm, wise advisor with humor and joy. Au revoir, mon ami. My sympathies & prayers are with you & your family, Sue Schueller

Claire, Anne and I are very sorry to hear of Jay's passing. Know that he is in a much better place with no pain, suffering, sunny days and only 300 bowling scores and six strokes under par. Jay was a very unique person/character and had a great feeling for being an examiner. Where others had to work hard at the examining banks, Jay was a natural. I am sorry for your loss Claire. I recall more than a few conversations when you spoke of Jay with great tenderness and love. His love lives on in you, even as you mourn his passing. He left this world too soon. May he enjoy God's loving embrace and everlasting life until you are together again in paradise. Peace be with you my friend. Love, Dobie

Our deepest & heartfelt sympathy to you! Jay was a wonderful man and a great friend! He was genuine and displayed great care and concern for others! He always had a flare for fashion. I never could compete! But, I tried. He will be greatly missed, but remembered often! May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

I spent several wonderful years both working for and with Jay. He was so attuned to his profession and did not miss anything. He was a wonderfully determined person and became a friend over the years. I am so very sad to hear that he has passed however I know the world (and I) am a better person for having known him. We are so sad to hear of Jay´s passing. Condolences to his family from the whole Markt family. So many fond memories as campers, then as staff members at camp Adanac in Canada. Jay was the archery instructor. Later on he attended many of our family weddings and we will always remember his kindness and especially his boisterous laugh. Rest in rest peace dear friend.

My deepest condolences. I knew Jay for decades but really got to know him only after I started working for him. He was a very kind and fun person. He will be missed.
