Not sure what to say?

Scott,

I am so sorry to hear about Jay's death. I know he brought a lot of joy to people's lives, and that brotherly bond is irreplaceable.
Please send my condolences to your entire family.

I just heard about Jay's passing. I had the pleasure knowing Jay at the WAVE he was one of the nicest people I have ever worked with. I will miss him dearly.

My thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories bring you comfort.

Leslie, I am so sorry to hear about Jay. My thoughts and prayers are with you and the boys. Alexis feels so much pain for Connor.

What a tribute these past few days have been to a person who deserves it more than anyone I know! I know how much Jay cherished his family and friendships. They are what kept him going during the challenges that life seemed to throw his way. My hope is that Jay could truly feel all of the love and respect that poured into the halls of the Church and funeral home... I hope that this love makes up for any of the times that he felt alone during his life's journey.

To the entire Schraff family,

Our deepest sympathies for your loss of Jay. We so remember him well when we all grew up together on St. Anthony Lane. He was one class act even in childhood. Our prayers are with each and everyone of you.

The Dambach Family

Aunt Patty and cousins,
Our deepest sympathies to every one of you in the sudden passing of Jay. I have such great memories of summers spent with the Schraff's; who would find the best treasure on garbage day, getting up the courage to climb the tree into the treehouse, and all the fun during the sleepovers. It's hard to find ourselves so far apart and the years have seemed to slip away. I will cherish the memories that Jay was such a part of. Our thoughts and prayers are with...

OUR FRIEND JAY WAS A ONE IN A MILLION KIND OF GUY. WE LOVED HIM SO MUCH AND WILL MISS HIS SMILING FACE AND WONDERFUL PRESENCE AT OUR HOME. WE HAD MANY YEARS OF FRIENDSHIP WITH HIS FORMER WIFE LESLIE AND DARLING SON'S CONNOR, CAMERON & COLE. HE WAS BLESSED WITH A BEAUTIFUL FAMILY AND HIS BOYS WHERE HIS WHOLE LIFE AND ENJOYED BEING A VERY DEVOTED FATHER. WHEN MY BROTHER RICHARD & MYSELF HAD OUR LAST VISIT WITH HIM ON CHRISTMAS EVE, JAY WAS HAPPY AND LOVED LIVING ON THE LAKE WITH HIS SONS. ...

I had the enormous pleasure of spending the past two Christmas dinners with Jay. His brother Lee is married to my sister Margaret. Jay and I sat side by side and ALL he talked about was his boys. They were the light of his life and will help your family keep his bright spirit alive. My deepest sympathy to the Schraff family.
