Not sure what to say?

Jane, I was Jay's cousin and lived with them while attending the Coeur d' Alene Jr. College. I live back home in Van Wert, Ohio where his Grandpa Jess and the rest of the family lives. I would love to hear from you. I'm so glad to at least know what happened and where Jay is after extensive searching. My love to your family, Jerry Roth

Please accept our sincere condolences on your loss. It was a pleasure getting to know Jay at reunions. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your children.

Jay was a kind gentle and caring person who went out of his way to help and do for others when he saw a need. Prayers are with the family for your loss. He always went out of his way to make sure things were done right. It was a pleasure to have known him and it was Loudoun County's loss when he retired.

A Toast to Jay - Thank you for your joy, love, spirit, and service to all of us. We will miss you but remember you.

I worked with Jay on the court complex project for many years. Although I was with the sheriff's office I was made, by Jay, to be a part of the team. I recall several intensce issues that we were dealing with and Jay made sure we were able to get through this issues smoothly and for the best interest of all. He was as much a friend, gentalman as anyone could ever be.

The family is in my prays Jay will live on in my mind and heart as the true person he was. A great man.

I knew Jay "way back" in the l960's when he was a Junior in High School at IHM Academy in Coeur d' Alene, Idaho. As I read these tributes I am delighted to know that he never changed. He was very bright, Kind, loving, laughing and loyal in l964...as a boy playing baseball.

Jay was a true professional and treated everyone the same no matter what their "status" was in life or on the job. I enjoyed working with Jay and he was a great help with our Public Safety tower sites and leases in Loudoun County. John 3:3

I was so saddened to hear of Jay's passing and send my deepest sympathy to his family. Jay was a kind and gentle soul, and I am glad for the years of working with him at Loudoun. His sense of humor was priceless and he could always bring a laugh and a smile to everyone. My best wishes to his dear wife Jane and family as you are all in my thoughts and prayers.

Jane,
My heart goes out to you and your family. Jay was a gentleman and a gentle soul. I will share with you the wisest advice I received after my own loss: "One day at a time..."
