Spates, Jay S., age 48, a resident of Harpersville, AL passed away on Saturday, April 27, 2013.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at 11:00AM at the New Life Church at Westover with Reverend David Wooten officiating. The family will visit with friends Monday, April 29, 2013 from 6:00-8:00PM at the church. Burial will be in the Harpersville Cemetery. Bolton Funeral Home in Columbiana is in charge of the arrangements.
Jay was an avid hunter, fisherman, and enjoyed gardening. He loved the Lord with all his heart, soul, and mind and was a member of the New Life Church at Westover. Mr. Spates is preceded in death by his father, James S. Spates. He is survived by his mother, Judy Spates; a brother, Jeff (Tammy) Spates; a niece, Jenna; a nephew, Zackarie and a host of other family and friends.
