Three weeks ago, I learned that my sweet friend from years ago is gone. Jay and I were upstairs/downstairs apartment neighbors in the early 80s. I remember many things about him, but his laughter is my favorite memory. One Christmas, I was determined to put up a live tree. I worked in retail with very limited time off during the holidays, so the day I bought my tree was a busy one with no time to waste. Getting it in my door was a real struggle. I remember Jay walking by as I fussed out...

I used to work with Jay in the mid 70's. His personality made work fun. We kept up a bit through the years and I thought I'd check on him during this time of social distancing... I'm very sorry to read of his passing.

I met Jay through Brenda and knew him about 20 years. He was always so nice and always had a smile on his face and was full of laughter. I will miss you.
