Mr. Jay Richard Warner, 75, of Roanoke, went peacefully to be with the Lord in November 4, 2022. Jay was born in 1947 to the late Henry and Lucille Swann Warner. He graduated from John M Langston High school, joined the Air Force (AFSCP), then married the love of his life 'Deena' as he called her. To their union was born two daughters Robin Warner and Pamela Warner, of which he was delighted as he always said he only wanted two girls.
He worked very hard providing for his family. He loved family vacations and spending time with family near and far. He was a longstanding member of TESVASC and Pine Valley Gold club. He then enjoyed retirement, golfing, gardening, and conversations with his grandson.
He became a Christ follower at a young age. He joined and became a beloved member of Grace Christian Fellowship. He and Pastor Tom shared their love of gardening. He was loved by many.
He is preceded in death by sisters Margaret Saunders and Vivian Hyman, brother Calvin Warner, and nephew Darrell Jacobs.
Extending my deepest sympathy and praying for you all.

Saddened to hear of Jay's passing. He was my golfing partner for a couple of years. He was always positive, upbeat and encouraging. Sending up prayers for the family during this difficult time.

I am deeply saddened to hear of my cousin's heavenly transition. I remember our summers working in Blanch with PAPA Swann as well as the times we were together. I lift the family up in prayer. We all will miss him.
