JC Clyma

I loved Mr. Clyma he was always kind and did his best to keep me inline in high school.

I am so sorry to hear about your loss. Mr. Clyma was a wonderful principal. He had a very gentle, friendly nature and was well liked and respected by his students. I hope you find comfort in knowing how much he meant to so many students. I know he will be missed.

Karen & Jesse: Please know that my prayers and thoughts go out for you and your extended families during this difficult time. I remember your dad as one who served the Wayland schools for so many years, a fair leader, and loving father. I am sorry I was out of town during this time and could not attend the visitation or service.

So sorry to hear of Mr. Clyma's passing (still hard to call him JC). He was a wonderful man and great principal. I have many fond memories of him while hanging out with you, Jesse. He was a great example of a firm but kind principal. What an excellent leader and role model. My condolences to you all.

I am a 1986 graduate of Wayland HIgh. I never got into a lot of trouble, but one poor choice and I found myself pregnant at 16. Through this difficult time for me, Mr. Clyma always showed compassion and kindness to me. He never made me feel like I was less of a person. I attended school during this time, although it was awkward - for me and the other kids. But my education was important to me and so was walking with my class on graduation night. Mr. Clyma was very well-respected by my classmates and me for his friendly professionalism, guidance and
fairness during our time at
Wayland High. We were so glad that he was willing and able to attend our 40th Anniversary Class of '69
Reunion as our Guest of Honor in 2009. We were
blessed to have him in our
lives when we were young. Thank you, Mr. Clyma!

Mr Clyma was so cool when we would be at the coffee shop during 1st period he would ask that we all be at school for 2nd period back in 1982-1983 My deepest sympathy to the family and friends who will miss him
